Durable boats Proudly Made in Finland

Finnish Terhi boats are made of strong and smooth, impact- and weather-resistant ABS plastic. The void in-between the vacuum-formed outer and inner hulls is filled with water-repellent polyurethane foam, which acts as structural strengthener and floatation aid. This unique so called sandwich construction also dampens hull-borne noise and makes the boat unsinkable, and thus makes the Terhi boats extremely safe to acquire and use.

When well kept and properly maintained, the Terhi boats are long-lived companions that can be passed down from one generation to the next. Ease of maintenance is one of the boats’ biggest assets, and the finishing is in a class of its own. The model range includes dinghies, rowing boats and motor boats – with either traditional combustion outboard engines or electric outboards.

Practical boats for the whole family, since 1972

“Pretty as strawberries, where beautiful is also practical” – with these words the Terhi boats were described from the very start, when we decided to invest in a new manufacturing technology as first boat manufacturer in Europe, and begun producing boats out of ABS plastic. The manufacturing method enables us to produce durable, fully unsinkable hulls, creating a solid basis for the concept of ‘practical boats’. Today, more than 50 years later, the TerhiTec factory is still going strong, and has produced well over 235 000 boats – making it one by far the most productive boat factory in Finland.
