480 Sport is a speedy addition to the Terhi model range. This versatile dual console equipped multitasker is a great boat for the whole family and works well for water sports, daytrips and excursions, various transportation needs and recreational joy rides – or even for fishing purposes.
The two steering consoles together with a two-piece middle door offer a sheltered stern area suited for up to five adults. The passenger area is equipped with two separate comfort seats and a wide stern bench. The consoles have good storage spaces and space on the instrument panel for a chartplotter, as well as a 12 V outlet and two lockable glove compartments. A box for anchor and/or mooring lines and a vast lockable storage space can be found in the bow. The bow can also be fitted with a big sunbed, for which infill boards and an extra mattress are needed. The stern has two rope boxes and a large storage space underneath the stern bench. All the storage compartments except the anchor boxes are lockable.
The hull of the 480 Sport utilizes the unique Terhi sandwich structure in ABS plastic, but unlike the smaller boats the 480 models are made with an extra strong tripple-layer structure. The unique manufacturing method guarantees not only unsinkability and durability, also surprisingly quiet and comfortable rides. The void in-between the thermo-formed ABS-plastic hulls is densly sprayed with non-water absorbent polyurethane foam, that glues to hulls together and simultaneously acts like floatation. The result is a solid and stiff sandwich construction that is easy to maintain and that withstands both active use and time.
